Adult ballet and dance health
At Scottish Ballet, we believe that dance can be enjoyed by everyone. We offer a variety of weekly online and in-person classes for dancers of all ages and abilities.
To book our adult ballet classes you must become a Friend, discover more about our Friends Membership programme.
Adult Classes for the October–December term will commence the week of 21 October and run for 9 weeks, finishing the week of 16 December 2024.
Class bookings will go on sale Thursday at 10:00am for Silver & Gold Friends (Regenerate classes on sale at 3pm), and on Tuesday 8 October at 10:00am for Free Friends.
Adult ballet classes
Absolute beginners ballet
This class is designed as an introduction to ballet, where you will learn the basic techniques of classical ballet.
Beginners ballet
This class is recommended for those with some ballet experience where you can develop and build on your ballet technique.
Improvers ballet
This class will improve your ballet technique, vocabulary and confidence in the studio. Perfect if you have 2+ years of ballet experience.
Intermediate ballet
This more challenging class is the perfect way for you to broaden and further develop your love of ballet.
Regenerate (60+) ballet
This class is designed for people aged 60+ to exercise the mind and body. Suitable for those who have at least one year of ballet experience.

Parkinson's
Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland classes support those living with Parkinson’s to experience the benefits of dance and creativity, improving balance, spatial awareness, and confidence.
Multiple Sclerosis
Our SB Elevate® classes, developed in partnership with MS specialists, aim to support the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Dementia/brain health
By developing communication, expression, coordination, balance, creativity and social interaction, Time to Dance® classes engage the brain and improves quality of life.
Long covid
Our long covid support programme helps posture, alignment and body confidence and its creative elements address your whole being – supporting you to reconnect with your body and improve wellbeing.
Vocational training
For young people looking to pursue dance or choreography as a career.
