The power you possess comes in many different forms. Embrace them all and embrace being the most authentic version of yourself. Don’t ever soften your spirit because others say you’re ‘too much’.

What career moment are you most proud of?
I think I’m most proud of all the in-between moments that our audiences don’t see. The day-to-day push and dedication. I love that.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
The best piece of advice I was given was from Mr Yow, a ballet teacher of mine. He told me to use your voice as it’s one of the most powerful things a person and specifically a dancer has.

What’s your favourite place in Scotland?
I have a little secret bench in the corner of the west end in Glasgow that I often go to. It’s just off a busy street, covered by trees in a little circle of solitude.

What’s your dream role to perform?
A gender fluid role, free of judgement, encouraging authentic expression. Something perfectly balanced, completely embracing of feminine attributes and captures the beauty of movement for what it is. I’d also love to dance Siegfried in David Dawson’s Swan Lake

What’s your hype song?
I have two! Strings of Life by Michael Jameson and of course Make it Happen by Mariah Carey live at Madison Square Garden.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
The power you possess comes in many different forms. Embrace them all and embrace being the most authentic version of yourself. Don’t ever soften your spirit because others say you’re ‘too much’.

What makes you smile?
My Scottish Ballet family… and Naked Soup on Kersland Street.

What’s your favourite movie?
Death Becomes Her. I’m a Goldie Hawn stan forever! Also, The First Wives Club and I do love By the Sea with Angelina Jolie.

Repertoire Highlights: Kai (The Snow Queen), Officer (The Scandal at Mayerling)
