Colin Crosby

Scottish Ballet Endowment Fund Trustee

Over the past decade Colin has been and is still involved as a non-executive in a broad range of private public third sector and charitable organisations. The breadth of his interests range from trucking to education, IT to investment as well as most recently, Board member of Audit Scotland, Chair of the RHASS Audit Committee and a Council member of ICAS and Trustee of ICAS Foundation.

He trained and practiced as a lawyer having also qualified as a CA, but spent most of his career (as one of the earliest employees) with what became Aberdeen Asset Management prior to its merger with Standard Life.  As CEO of the private client and charity business he was involved fully in the running and growing of this sector prior to Aberdeen Asset Management’s disposal in 2006.  He was awarded an OBE for services to social housing in the 1990’s. Colin’s spare time has been spent in the outdoors, mainly with his family and it is relatively recently that he became intrigued by ballet. He is a firm believer in ensuring that all Scotland’s ‘ treasures’ are properly funded and remain a vibrant part of Global Scotland’s life.
