Charlotta Öfverholm

Charlotta Öfverholm studied at Balettakademien in Stockholm and Alvin Ailey ADC in New York. She is also a theatre graduate of UCLA and The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles.
Charlotta has had a long international career as a dancer, working with choreographers such as DV8 Physical Theatre, Alexander Ekman, Bill T. Jones, Complexions/Dwight Rhoden, Farm in the Cave/Viliam Docolomansky, Roberto Galván, Joseph Tmim, Ramon Oller and Sol Pico, and many others.
Lead roles include The Death in Ingmar Bergmans’ Det Sjunde Inseglet (Uppsala Stadsteater), Hamlet (Robert Poole, Landes theater Linz), and Lola in Lola and Mr Talk by Jan Kodet (Divadlo Archa), earning her nomination for a Thalia Prize at the National Theatre in Prague.
Charlotta started her Compagnie Jus de la Vie in 1995. She has since created over 30 productions which have toured the world. Choreographed works include Melancholia (Michael Karlsson, Royal Opera Stockholm) and The Seven Deadly Sins (Sam Brown, Swedish Chamber Orchestra).
She recently choreographed the movie Je máppelle Agneta for Netflix in 2018 created two dance films, Checking Out and Juice, together with film maker Anders Larsson, as well as three documentaries, Herr Mammageddon, Just Dance and Remember to Live!.
In 2015, she started the project Age on Stage to feature mature artists in stage and film productions.
