Born and raised in Scotland, Charley Austin discovered his passion for dance at the age of seven. His early promise was nurtured through the Scottish Ballet Associate Programme, (2011-2017) where he progressed from Junior to Senior Associate, laying the foundation for a life in classical ballet.

Charley continued his training at English National Ballet School in London, (2017-2020) refining his technique and deepening his artistry. Upon graduating, he joined Ballet du Capitole at the Opéra national du Capitole in Toulouse, France. Over five seasons, (2020-2025) he performed a rich and varied repertoire, developing a nuanced stage presence and a deep appreciation for the expressive power of dance.

Now returning to his roots, Charley is honoured to join Scottish Ballet—bringing his journey full circle, and beginning a new chapter with the company that first inspired him.
