Growing up in North Wales, Calum discovered dance at the age of eight. He later emigrated to New Zealand with his family, where he continued his training before joining the New Zealand School of Dance in 2016.

Upon graduating in 2018, he joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet, where he danced for seven seasons, performing a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire.

Highlights include the Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker by Ty King-Wall (2025), Romeo in Romeo & Juliet by Andrea Schermoly (2023), Infra by Sir Wayne McGregor, Requiem for a Rose by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and After the Rain by Christopher Wheeldon. In 2025, he also took part in a special collaboration between RNZB and Scottish Ballet in New Zealand.

Returning to the UK, Calum is excited to join Scottish Ballet and begin this new chapter.
