Alison Cornwell is a highly experienced Scottish finance executive with an international career spanning film and tv distribution, broadcasting, film and TV production and cinema exhibition.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant with PwC in Glasgow she spent 5 years in corporate finance in London before being appointed to a series of CFO roles including Disney’s international TV division and Group CFO of Sparrowhawk Media Group, Alliance Films and Vue International. In 2024 she was named in the Top 3 women in global cinema.

Alison is a former Governor and Audit Committee Chair of the British Film Institute and was appointed President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) for the year to April 2025 having served on the ICAS Council since 2018. She is a Trustee of the ICAS Foundation and has a wide range of passions and interests including music, cycling, genealogy and climate change.
