What we’re looking for
We are looking for an Administration Assistant to join Scottish Ballet’s Advancement team.
Responsible for high-level administrative support, your conscientious approach will improve the efficiency of the department. With a flair for attention to detail and a friendly, outgoing personality you will play a key role in supporting the work of the philanthropy and partnerships teams, by expertly administrating regular activity such as confidential correspondence, donations, invoice processing and contracts.
This role requires ability to build excellent relationships within this dynamic team, with Patrons, Friends and Partners and across the whole organisation where everything we do aligns with Scottish Ballet’s values of excellence, innovation and inclusion.

What you need to know
Our vacancy is for an Administration Assistant supporting the Advancement team.
In a nutshell, this role is best suited to someone who has:
- Experience of processing payments (donations and tickets), and preparing confidential correspondence.
- Been responsible for maintaining guest lists, invitations and progress reports.
- Updated a database (e.g. recording income).
- Helped deliver benefits for supporters.
- Arranged mailouts and print.
- Planned and supported events.
- Worked in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and written skills.
- A proven knowledge of Windows-based packages (Outlook, Excel, and databases, such as Tessitura).
- An affinity with Scottish Ballet’s culture and values and enthusiasm for the arts.
It’s a permanent role:
- Salary is £25,000 per annum (pro rata).
- The role is part-time, 21 hours per week.
- Working hours will be flexible.
- The role is primarily based in our Glasgow HQ with requirement to tour/ venue activity.
