Associate Programme Coordinator

What we’re looking for

Are you a strong communicator with a keen interest in Arts Education? Do you thrive in a varied role, and enjoy being part of the dance community, supporting young people to thrive? If so, we have a rarely available opportunity for Associate Programme Coordinator at Scottish Ballet.

Scottish Ballet (SB) is seeking a strong administrator with a keen interest in supporting our SB Associates auditions (the pathway into dance for many young people across Scotland and beyond).

Your personal contribution will help us to deliver the SB Associate programme, highly regarded in the dance community for consistently producing well-trained young dancers. Informal mentoring will be offered to the role holder to support their success.

What you need to know

Our vacancy is for Associate Programme Coordinator supporting the SB Associates team.

In a nutshell, this role is best suited to someone who has:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • An enthusiastic interest in the positive benefits of arts/vocational education for young people.
  • Knowledge of dance auditions processes, and associated duties and responsibilities would be an advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a varied, fast -paced role both independently and as part of a small team.
  • An affinity with Scottish Ballet’s culture and values.

 

It’s a part-time, permanent role:

  • Salary is £27,000 – £28,000 per annum, pro rata.
  • The role is part-time, 21 hours per week.
  • Working hours will be flexible, with evening and weekend work applicable to SB Associates schedules and also specific business requirements (the start of term – late August/early September – is a busy period; also auditions take place in May each year).
  • This role is primarily based in our Glasgow HQ with requirement to be flexible.
