[The Crucible is] the only ballet I’ve seen that has kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

What career moment are you most proud of?
Would have to be performing the role Snow Queen in Christopher Hampson’s The Snow Queen as its quite a demanding role that I honestly never imagined myself doing so early on in my career.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Not to dim my light to please others.

What’s your favourite ballet to watch?
Have got to big up Scottish Ballet and say The Crucible. The set, costumes and just the entire production in general is captivating. It’s the only ballet I’ve seen that has kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

What do you like to do on your day off?
It depends on what I’m doing during the season. If the repertoire isn’t too demanding I’ll go out for a skate or walk but while on tour for the winter season I really enjoy a chilled day indoors of doing absolutely nothing. Most of the time, I haven’t got the energy to do anything and I treasure my alone time since I basically live in the studio.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?
It would have to be teleportation. Imagine being able to travel to any place and country in the world, free of charge? Luxurious!

What’s your hype song?
‘Got to be Real’ by Cheryl Lynn.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t always prioritise the needs of others over your own.

What’s something people might not know about you?
That my family heritage is Guyanese, Jamaican and English.
