My colleagues would describe me as ‘a ray of sunshine’ and ‘encouraging’.

How would your colleagues describe you?
My colleagues would describe me as ‘a ray of sunshine’ and ‘encouraging’. I love to always try and look at the positive side of situations and I really believe happiness is the key to success. To give you’re all into everything you do and to everyone you interact with.

What career moment are you most proud of?
Performing Mazelda on stage alongside my colleague and friend Ishan who played Zac. Our last performance together was incredible. So much fun and laughter was on the stage that night, surrounded by all our supportive colleagues. We did the performance for ourselves, taking any pressure off us and we really belonged in that moment. Such a high we won’t forget.

What’s your favourite place in Scotland?
This is a hard one considering Scotland is my home, but one of my favourite places is the Isle of Skye. I went on a girls road trip with some of my colleagues and I have a beautiful memory of us all having a small nap at the iconic Neist Point in Glendale and waking up to one of the most incredible sunsets I’ve ever seen. It was so surreal.

What’s your favourite ballet to perform?
I love the drama of Helen Picket’sThe Crucible. I play the character of Ann Putnam and then also a prisoner in the second act. Diving into those characters and this era of time, investigating who you are on stage can be so powerful.

What’s something people might not know about you?
I love wild swimming. Whether that’s in a loch or at the beach, it’s feels like a real meditative/self-care moment and instantly can help me be present in the moment. And nothing beats having a little hot chocolate to warm you up afterwards as well!

What makes you smile?
My sausage dog back at home with my family, Bhrea. She’s my little best friend.

What’s your favourite movie?
My favourite movie is a childhood classic for me, The Parent Trap. For me this is such a comforting and wholesome movie for times when I’m ever feeling ill, a little down or wanting a night locked in all to myself. Always makes me feel warm inside.

What’s the best thing about going on tour with the company?
Being surrounded by such supportive people all the time. You’re always able to have a laugh, to have a good singsong or dance battle in the dressing rooms and most importantly always have a shoulder to lean on so you never feel lonely.
