Associate Programme
The Associate Programme provides classically based training for students from Primary 5 to Secondary 5. Our aim is to develop confident, dedicated and motivated dancers by supplementing the training provided by local dance teachers.
Entry to the programme is by annual audition only. Applications are now open for 2026/27.
There are three points of entry:
Junior Associates (P5, P6 & P7)
Introduces the technical and artistic foundations in both ballet and creative dance, with opportunities to perform with Scottish Ballet.
Mid Associates (S1 & S2)
Builds a strong classical basis and introduces contemporary, pointework and virtuosity.
Senior Associates (S3, S4 & S5)
Further strengthens and refines ballet and contemporary techniques, with preparation for auditioning for full-time training.
Please note: Students should only apply for the appropriate level e.g. a student entering S3 in August is not eligible to apply for Mid Associates.
